The history of
Sandy Beach Suites
Welcoming Family and Friends
Since 1962
In 1954, a dream to welcome family, friends and travellers to take in the beauty of Osoyoos was brewing. Opening the doors in 1962 Sandy Beach Motel greeted guests with a relaxed and fun environment for all ages to enjoy. Between 1999 and 2002, the property added 22 new Suites for guests to enjoy. The three original Garden Cottages remained, and their nostalgia and quiet surroundings are a favourite amongst new and returning guest’s.
The property was sold in early 2017 and renamed Sandy Beach Suites by a family committed to providing excellent customer service, quality accommodations and maintaining a family friendly atmosphere for all guests. Bigger dreams are in store for Sandy Beach Suites.

The clean, newly renovated room featured brand new appliances & a soothing palate of soft, neutral colours that made the space feel both modern & relaxing. Our room was on the upper floor with a nice sized balcony that had amazing views of the lake & beach as well as the surrounding landscape - perfect for watching the birds with our morning coffee & for enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine. Speaking of the beach, it was kept in pristine condition & the sand was raked daily, giving it a fresh & inviting look. The grounds were also impressive. The beautifully kept grass & flowers, along with a charming herb & veggie garden added a welcoming & natural touch to the property. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, well-maintained escape.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Sekwun 99We had an issue with our TV remote and the front desk attendant quickly resolved the matter. Our favourite place to stay in Osoyoos. This is a great place for any age. I travelled with my two children and we had the best time the beach is seriously so sandy and clean. The games they have set up and beach toys for the kids was great. Plus, they have a really nice playground for the kids as well. Such an awesome place we will be back very soon.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Sylvia HoMy husband and I haven't been to Sandy Beach Suites in probably 10 years because we were never able to find availability. We lucked out over the long Labour Day weekend on a last minute cancellation, and although it was only 1 night, we had a great time. We found the place still as amazing as our last visit. Our nicely renovated studio room, although small, had everything we needed with a modern kitchen, large sofa, air conditioner, very comfortable bed and small bistro dining table. The clean bathroom provided soap and shampoo. The property is so unique with a breathtaking beach front. We sat on the provided Adirondack chairs watching the sunset, and you will feel lost in time and forget that you're in Osoyoos. We woke up early the next morning, and took a nice walk along the beach, still mesmerized by the view. Amanda, the resort manager, gave us a friendly check-out experience. She was apologetic that she couldn't extend our check-out time as they were half-staffed given the long Labour day weekend. When I mentioned our challenges of booking accommodations in the past, she offered to book us in for next year. We are super thrilled to have the opportunity to return! Thank you again Amanda!
